On the night of November 2, 1975, Pier Paolo Pasolini was murdered by Pino Pelosi in an empty field in Ostia.
On November 3, 1975, the Fígols Mine explosion occurred, one of the most tragic events in Spanish mining history.
My grandfather was one of the miners who saved his life because he was sweeping the empty field outside the mine. The reason he was sweeping the empty field was a punishment due to his union activism and constant demands.
